Here at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Christchurch, we are reliant on volunteers and donations. There are numerous ways that you can help us out:
Time - you could volunteer as a Big Brother or Big Sister, for the Trust Board, or to help promote the organisation.
Skills - you could offer your skills in such areas as financial or fundraising advice, promotional skills, design or printing services, or donating resources for the kids to use during their mentoring sessions.
Money - donations, bequests, partnerships and corporate sponsorship are always welcome. To make a donation, click here
Financial information
Each mentoring match costs about $1500, which helps to provide
- supervision and support for all mentors in the programme,
- resources for kids to use during mentoring sessions
- regular programme feedback from mentors and kids
- smooth and sustainable management of the programme
Now is a great time to give Big Brothers Big Sisters of Christchurch a financial donation, as current tax laws enable individuals that make donations to claim a rebate that is up to a third of their taxable income, while companies can claim up to their net income.
